Offset is ready to drop new music. After delaying his album after the death of his cousin and group mate Takeoff, he went to Instagram to preview a new snippet of a collab with Takeoff and Icewear Vezzo. The preview shows Offset chilling in his car as he listens to the snippet of him, Takeoff, and Icewear Mezzo trading bars.
Last year, Offset ventured out into a solo career, having released "54321" and "CODE" featuring Moneybagg Yo. The ATL rapper was set to release his sophomore album last year. However, tragedy struck when Takeoff was shot and killed on Nov. 1. The Migos rapper delayed his album amid the sudden loss.

Takeoff had a public memorial service on Nov. 11 at Atlanta's State Farm Arena. Shortly after Takeoff’s funeral, Offset penned an emotional message about the lost of his cousin and group mate. "The pain you have left me with is unbearable. My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the word," he wrote. "I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven now. I hope you can see how much we love you and miss you. You have left a hole in my heart that will never be filled."
Last month however, Offset declared that he is in "album mode" once again and is preparing to drop his sophomore album.
Quavo has also honored Takeoff with new music. The Head Honcho released "Without You" in January which he later performed in an emotional tribute during this year's Grammy Awards.
Although Offset shut down rumors that there was a fight between Quavo and him during the Grammys, there seemingly has been a resolution to if the Migos will ever get back together. Quavo addressed the state of the Migos in "Greatness."
"Came in, swept the game like a storm with the muthaf------ flow, n----, Take did that/ So don’t ask about the group, he gone, we gone, young n---- it can’t come back, damn!" Quavo raps.
In the song's outro, Quavo gives a shoutout to Takeoff and Migos' impact on the culture: "I couldn’t do it without the greatest group in the world … I couldn’t do it without the greatest nephew in the world."
Offset is one-third of the Migos rap group featuring his cousin Quavo and Quavo's nephew Takeoff. The ATL native has proven to bring unique qualities to the group and outside projects with memorable verses and tight adlibs. He ventured off onto his own solo project in 2019 with FATHER OF 4 honing his own voice and creative direction.
