Shaggy Ready to Bring ‘Soundtrack to Your Life’ To Raleigh with TLC on Hot Summer Nights Tour
Mr. Boombastic himself, Shaggy, is coming to Raleigh as part of the Hot Summer Nights Tour, with TLC on June 7, and to get ready for the show, we talked with the music legend.
The tour is coming to Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh, and it’s an unforgettable lineup. You can get your tickets here!
“The Hot Summer Night Tour – I’m really excited about it,” Shaggy said during our interview with him. “You have such a great lineup. You have TLC. You have Sean Kingston. You got En Vogue. Myself. You hear that lineup and you just wanna go!”
Shaggy, who is well known for massive hits like “Boombastic,” and “It Wasn’t Me,” understands the impact the music he and his tourmates have made, has had on so many lives.
“It’s like the soundtrack to your life,” he said. “Those songs are so many big songs that are recurrent songs, even into this generation. It’s just really, really cool to be out here and just putting smiles on people’s faces.”
TLC obviously isn’t the band it used to be, with the tragic death of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes back in 2002. But T-Boz and Chilli have kept the group going, with all of their hits, and tons of new music.
En Vogue is best know for the MASSIVE hit “Don’t Let Go,” from 1996, and Sean Kingston shares some Jamaican roots with Shaggy, and is well known for his hit “Beautiful Girls.”
According to Shaggy, the show is appealing to all ages, but it’s definitely not going to be a sit-down show.
“Wear comfortable shoes, because you’re gonna be dancing.”
