Sisters Chlöe and Halle Bailey rocked their Something In The Water festival performance and immediately became a trending topic on Twitter. The R&B duo launched her Ungodly Hour album back in 2020 and since then they have made their own respective career paths. Halle has taken on more acting roles as it was announced that Chloe and Halle will be done with Freeform’s Grown-ish after the fourth season. Now, Halle will be taking on the lead role in Disney’s live-action film The Little Mermaid as Ariel and Celie’s younger sister Nettie a musical film adaptation of Alice Walker’s 1982 classic novel, The Color Purple.
Chlöe has been breaking into a solo career after releasing her first song “Have Mercy” followed by “Treat Me” and most recently “Surprise” which just dropped on Friday (June 17). Chlöe says that her debut solo album is ready and is set to release sometime soon.
Just like they are seeking out different avenues in their solo careers the two have also expressed how their personalities are more so night and day… but you couldn’t tell from watching their Something In The Water performance. The duo was performing “Tipsy” from their Grammy-nominated album Ungodly Hour when Halle shyly said, “He better not break your heart.” Following that, Chloe, with great confidence, belted out, “He better not f— up. He better not cheat. He better not be with other bitches, and then come home to me.” While Halle started off letting her sister take the lead, fans instantly saw how more confident Halle got as the performance went on.
