Hip-hop is feeling the Halloween spirit. As Halloween (Oct. 31) falls on a Tuesday this year, many stars used the weekend as an opportune time to display their costumes. A common thread amongst hip-hop, R&B, and musical artists from every genre this year was paying homage. Some musical artists dressed as other artists in their format, while others dusted off some VHS tapes for inspiration.
On the list this year are a variety of people who went all out for their costumes including singles and couples. Many celebrities love Halloween, so to them, it is their Super Bowl. Megan Thee Stallion is definitely one of the musicians that go into that category. The Houston native faithfully posts herself in a large carved pumpkin head each year.
Every October 1, the Traumazine rapper has posted a photo of herself in various poses as she wears a large pumpkin head. This year, some of her poses included her drinking a cappuccino in her yard, with her hands over her face in a stressed-out position, and another with the same coffee as she stands by the pool
Hip-Hop Stars Past Halloween Costumes That Ate
Many stars use the fact that they look like other celebrities to really lock in the look. One look in particular that comes to mind is Latto’s Faith Evans look. Social media has continuously told the rapper that she favors the “I’ll Be Missing You” singer. Last year, Latto posed as the icon as she recreated Evans’ and Biggie’s cover of Vibe magazine. She changed her hair into Evans’ infamous updo and wore a similar black leather outfit as she posed in the back of a car. The rapper also posted the original for fans to compare how well she did.

While Lori Harvey doesn’t favor Beyoncé, the looks she created last year still, to this day, make you do a double-take. Harvey recreated Beyoncé’s look from “Kitty Kat,” and “Check On It,” and two parts of her “Me, Myself, and I,” video.
