Kandi Burruss’ almost decade-year-old song has resurfaced as fans are saying that the record is giving “BBL ritual” and “Temple Run” vibes.
The reality scarlet’s 2014 track, “Legs, Hips, Body,” featuring Burruss’ former The Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Porsha Williams, Danity Kane star D. Woods, and Funky Dinevahas has gone viral on social media sparking several memes and calling into question Burruss’ songwriting ability for herself.
Burruss is known to have penned top-charting hits for other artists including “Shape Of You” by Ed Sheeran, “No Scrubs” by TLC, and Destiny’s Child’s “Bugaboo” and “Bills, Bills, Bills.” The singer was notably a part of the 1992 Atlanta girls group Xscape alongside, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, LaTocha Scott, Tamera Coggins-Wynn, and Tamika Scott.
In a since-deleted video from Instagram, the songwriter captioned a post of her walking, “I was giving #LegsHipsAndBody at the loversandfriendsfestival!” which sparked her song being resurfaced online.
“Legs, Hips, Body” was originally a part of Kandi and her husband Todd Tucker‘s A Mother’s Love musical from 2014. The musical is about the complexities of a mother and daughter’s relationship.
