If you're a black artist, there are many different ways to spread your roots outside of the music industry.

Seen some dabble in real estate, Wall Street investments, and many have become icons in the fashion world. So who are the musical movers and shakers in fashion?

Let's look at Rihanna. RiRi has a partnership with Puma and has created some dope fashion. From the MET Gala to her natural slayage, RiRi plays no games.

THIS Met Gala slay was just...whew! AHHH-MAYY-ZING! Every year, Rihanna manages to take the theme and magnify it to the hills. If there is anyone that can embody music and fashion, it's Rihanna.

Kanye West has wanted to get into fashion for a long time, now he's done so with his Yeezy clothing line, and it has been a fashion game changer. Additionally, Kanye's successful partnership with Adidas, has people lining up for Yeezy's the way they lined up for Jordans! His brands are not cheap, but sometimes as a designer, you know what audience you are catering to and it may not be the same as your listening audience in this case. Big ups to Kanye.

Last but not least, we have Chris Brown. With hisBlack Pyramid clothing partnership, Chris has the potential to do what Beyonce did with Ivy Park.

Chris has die hard fans. No matter what he does, they are down. But, Chris needs to clean it up a bit to hit that beyond peak potential he could have in the fashion industry.

From the memorable Young Thug album cover Jeffery to Kanye's Yeezy line, music and fashion often go hand in hand and influence each other. For these artists, why not make the best of both worlds while you have the platform?
