Looks like the New York Knicks may have a shot at Kevin Durant after all.

Just like LeBron did up to his most recent contract with the LA Lakers, Kevin Durant signs a 1 years deal with a player option for the next year each time so that he can hold his destiny in his own hands. Going into his third year with the Golden State Warriors, KD is looking to wrap up his third NBA Championship in a row and possibly his third Finals MVP trophy in a row. That remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, KD is going to be a free agent next summer.

According to Chris Haynes, the Knicks have the best chance to land KD.

It all makes sense though, KD is fully capable of leading a historic franchise in a huge market like New York and if you ask me, he deserves it. It would be great for the NBA to have both the Lakers and Knicks back in contention with a superstar player.

The only question is would KD continue to sign 1-1 year deals or would he commit as LeBron did with the Lakers.

I guess we will see next offseason.
