Amanda Seales Announces Release of New Upcoming Book ‘Small Doses’
Comedian and actress Amanda Seales is sort of a Jane of all trades, and she can now add author to her resume.
On Thursday (May 9), Seales took to Instagram to make the exciting announcement. “I wrote a whole ass book. Thascrazy,” the HBO Insecure actress wrote.
Along with sharing excerpts from the book titled Small Doses, sharing the same title as her podcast, which can be found on Apple, Seales shared a video of herself yelling, “I wrote a whole motherf*cking book!”
According to Amazon, in Small Doses will feature Seales “in her one-of-a-kind voice that blends academic intellectualism, Black American colloquialisms, and pop culture fanaticism, she’s bringing her life’s lessons and laughs to the page.”
The “volume of essays, axioms, original illustrations, and photos provides Seales’s trademark ‘self-help from the hip’ style of commentary, fueled by ideology formed from her own victories, struggles, research, mistakes, risks, and pay-offs.”
Seales has gone from rocking the stage of HBO’s Def Jam Poetry to releasing rap albums to painting murals to humorously talking about all of the things she knows in her very own HBO comedy special to playing Tiffany in Issa Rae’s hit TV show Insecure.

Amanda Seales is also currently gearing up to trek the nation on her Smart, Funny, & Black tour, which kicks off July 5 in Dallas. The tour also makes stops in Kansas City, St. Louis, Detroit, New York City, Philadelphia, and Atlanta. It concludes on September 28 in Chicago.
Small Doses drops on October 19.
