Trina Surprisingly Drops New Single ‘BAPS’ Featuring Nicki Minaj
On Wednesday, Trina surprised her fans by dropping her new single, “BAPS’ featuring Nicki Minaj.

The song shares the same title as the 1997 Robert Townsend-directed film, starring Halle Berry and Natalie Desselle; “BAPS” stands for “Bad A** Pretty Sags,” as Trina and Nicki Minaj are both Sagittarius.
The track, which has hard-hitting production, samples Cash Money Millionaires’ 2000 track, “Project Chick,” leaving Juvenile’s voice on the hook.
“BAPS” starts off with Minaj yelling, “Aye yo, Trina! You ready?” before the Diamond Princess name drops a slew of her exes (including, Lil Wayne and Kenyon Martin), explaining how she “curved” them.
Nicki Minaj matches Trina’s energy on the track rapping about the men she desires to have sex with and the men who she already has.
Trina and Minaj collaborated before on Yo Gotti’s 2012 track “5 Star Remix” also featuring Gucci Mane. Trina also appeared on the remix to Ludacris’ “My Chick Bad,” while Minaj was featured on the original track.

Yesterday, Trina shared a photo of herself on Instagram rocking all red and a smile. “My face when BAPS dropped today and I didn’t tell y’all,” the Miami rapper wrote as her caption.
“BAPS” comes from Trina’s new upcoming album, The One, which drops on Friday, June 21.
