Report: Coachella Could Be Postponed

Rolling Stone is reporting that due to coronavirus, Coachella could be postponed.

They explain, "Several artist managers have been in talks with Goldenvoice for the last week discussing postponement of the festival, a source familiar with the situation told Rolling Stone Monday night, adding that the cancelation of SXSW and the recent outbreak of cases in California's Riverside County 'really changed everyone’s tune.'" They also add, "Another source said Coachella 'confirmed' postponement with their agency on Monday night, but did not provide further details. A third source close to the situation said the talks are ongoing and not finalized yet."

Yashir Ali, a journalist from Huffington Post and New York Magazine, tweeted out last night that the festival may be moved to two weekends in October. He wrote, "Scoop: A source familiar with the arrangements tells me that the Coachella festival will be postponed due to Coronavirus concerns and moved to the weekends of October 9 and 16. As of now, the same lineup is confirmed to perform."

Coachella is currently scheduled to take place on the weekends of April 10-12 and April 17-19. Artists scheduled to play the festival are Travis Scott, Rage Against The Machine, Lil Nas X, Frank Ocean, Lil Uzi Vert, DaBaby, Big Sean, Carly Rae Jepsen, Calvin Harris, Lana Del Rey, and Megan Thee Stallion.
