Now 53 Positive Coronavirus Test Results at Pinehurst Nursing Home
Moore County Health Department officials updated the number of positive coronavirus test results at Pinehurst Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, and now there are 53 total COVID-19 cases.
The update comes after more of the remaining pending test results had come back. Officials had reported Wednesday afternoon that 31 individuals had tested positive initially.
Of the 96 patients in the senior-living facility, 45 have returned positive tests. And of the 115 staff members, eight have returned positive. Officials said not all staff member test results have come back yet.
“Residents of the facility who have tested positive for COVID-19 are isolated from others,” the release said. “Staff members who test positive are ordered to isolate at home. None of the residents that have so far been diagnosed have exhibited severe symptoms or signs of respiratory distress.”
