50 Cent Dragged For Insensitive Comment About Michael K. Williams
50 Cent has once again put his foot in his mouth. This time, he has made an insensitive remark towards the recently deceased actor, Michael K. Williams.
In a recently deleted “tribute” post to the late actor, 50 cent wrote, “D— if you didn’t see Raising Kanan check it out that fentanyl is no joke, killing the clientele,” the rapper wrote, plugging the Starz show, “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” based on his childhood in Queens per The New York Post.
“R.I.P micheal k williams,” he wrote, misspelling the actor’s name and then began promoting his wine and cognac line with a series of hashtags.
Michael K. Williams who was found dead Monday afternoon in Brooklyn penthouse has fans who are defending him against the rapper’s insensitive comment.
One fan wrote, “Idc what anyone says, using someone’s tragic & untimely death to promote your own show with an insensitive a– caption is VILE. 50 Cent has always been ignorant, but this is crossing the line.”
Another replied, “There’s no way 50 Cent is a good person. No way in h—. Just inappropriate.”
“I lost a huge amount of respect for 50 cent, that n—- does not know when to stop,” one fan wrote.
Now, 50 Cent and Williams did have beef per XXL, as the 54-year-old actor previously defended the former music executive James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond, “who is currently behind bars and was found guilty at the time for hiring a hitman to kill one of Fif’s associates.” Since Williams defended Henchman, it ignited the feud between them years ago.
“Don’t ever try to understand me I’m different,” the rhymer said in the caption for the since-removed IG post. “I don’t do all the fake love s—.”
50 Cent has not issued an apology and has only taken down the post.
