Lil Baby Responds To Fake $400k Patek Claims
Lil Baby was recently outed for allegedly buying a fake $400k Patek watch.
Before these rumors started, Lil Durk put out a PSA on his Instagram Story Thursday warning his followers that jewelers are trying to take advantage of customers who don’t know any better. “Stop buying all this jewelry without knowing what you doing,” the “Laugh Now Cry Later” rapper suggested per HotNewHipHop. “A lot of s— fake and some is overpriced. Get 1 jeweler and stick to ’em. I’m telling you y’all a– gone be pissed when the truth come out.”
Jewelry experts took Lil Baby’s watch and an authentic Patek model and compared the luxury watches side-by-side per Hypebeast, “many fake watch busters online placed side-by-side comparison images of Baby’s watch and the authentic Patek model, pointing out that his watch had bezels that were too thick, a case with the wrong proportions and hands in the wrong shape and size.”
After getting flooded with the fake watch claims Lil Baby put out a personal message to Patek Phillppe on his Instagram Story per HotNewHipHop, “@patekphillpe see this why I need to be on the list !! After market jewelers going to make me do some I shouldn’t be doing.”
Looks like Lil Baby is going to be taking Lil Durk’s advice.
