Tekashi 6ix9ine Hospitalized After Attack At Gym
Tekashi 6ix9ine has been hospitalized after he was brutally beaten in a Florida gym on Tuesday (March 21), TMZ first reported. The controversial rapper was in a sauna at LA Fitness when several men ambushed him, 6ix9ine’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, told the tabloid.
Lazzaro pointed out that 6ix9ine did not have security with him during the time of the attack. He was doing his best to fight off the men by himself. After the gym staff was aware of what was happening in the gym, they notified the manager. Police and EMS later arrived at the scene. The rapper was then taken to the hospital.
The outlet reports that the New York native suffered injuries to his jaw, ribs, and back. In the video obtained by TMZ, you can also see gashes on his face from the attack. Lazzaro says that the next step for the rapper is to get protection.
This is not the first time the controversial rapper has made headlines recently. On Friday (March 18), he was reportedly kicked out of LoanDepot Park after being too drunk and disturbing other attendees.
“He was heavily intoxicated and interrupting other guests’ experience,” one source told PageSix.
“He was drunk, he was inebriated, and he was out of control,” the eyewitness added. “There were a lot of families there last night, and he was bothering people.”
In 2019, the rapper was sentenced to two years in prison for his role in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang. He faced decades on racketeering charges until he began cooperating with authorities and landed a plea deal that ultimately put his former Bloods associates behind bars. It has not been confirmed if the attack is connected to his former plea deal.
