Tinashe Subliminally Suggests Why Chris Brown Is Hurt Over Feature Comment
Tinashe might have given a clue into what she thinks is the real reason behind Chris Brown’s frustration over her comment about working together in the past. Tinashe’s response went viral, condemning herself for working with R. Kelly and Chris Brown in the past.
The singer said she “blocks” her 2015 song “Let’s Be Real Now” with R. Kelly from her mind adding that she is “embarrassed” to have worked with him. She also threw it out there that it was not her idea to work with Chris Brown either.
“He was their biggest artist that they had on rhythmic radio at the time,” she said per XXL, explaining the label’s reasoning behind their collaboration. “To me, I was like, ‘Well, this is a pop song. So, I really don’t feel like we should put Chris on it.’ That doesn’t compute to me, but I don’t know.”
The two collaborated on “Player” back in 2015.
Brown did not take too kindly of her comments and clapped back on social media.
“NAME 5 TINASHE songs or die….[Looking eyes emoji] EVERYBODY DEAD [skull emoji],” he wrote.
He also came for Tinashe’s career saying it was “nonexistent.”
“She full of dat evil. Shawty career is nonexistent,” he wrote. “What’s more embarrassing is that she worked with all these people and not one us could save her career.”
Tinashe “Likes” Tweet About Chris Brown Amid Beef
While Tinashe decided to not respond to Brown publicly, fans caught that she “liked” a tweet on X (formerly known as Twitter) that said Brown is potentially “butthurt” because she “rejected” him in the past.
“You already know we riding with you!” the tweet that Tinashe liked began. “I got a good feeling you rejected Chris and he’s still butthurt over it! That would explain his hostility and weird obsession with you lol.”
While the tweet didn’t further explain whether they meant romantically or just the collaboration, either way, we will probably never see a song between the two again. Take a look below at the interaction:
