North West Shares Her Favorite Song Right Now Is A Kanye Classic
North West is a star in the making. The 10-year-old is the oldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West and already has big dreams of her own. North made her solo magazine cover debut with iD Magazine this week. As she sat down for her first cover story, North said she has dreams of becoming a basketball player, rapper, and doing art on the side.
“When I’m like, 13, I want to walk dogs, to make money to buy art supplies, because everything around here is so expensive,” she said. “So a rapper, a basketball player, and I’m going to make artwork that I sell.”
Kim always shows off her preteen’s artwork on her social media. The artwork is so good that many trolls flooded the comments insinuating that she did not paint them herself. Most recently, the SKIMS founder shared a photo of a gorgeous sunset painted by her oldest daughter.
“North has been working on this sunset landscape painting for a few weeks and it turned out so beautiful. I’m so proud of my baby,” Kim captioned the photo.
On top of wanting to be a basketball player, rapper, and artist, she also has dreams of becoming a business owner — more specifically, the CEO of her parents’ brands.
“Also, one day I want to own Yeezy and SKIMS, and I want to be a business owner,” she added.
Later in the interview, they talked about what is North’s favorite song right now, and it’s a Kanye classic. The 10-year-old answered “Through the Wire” which is Ye’s debut solo single from his 2004 album College Dropout. The song samples Chaka Khan’s 1985 single “Through the Fire.” It also earned Ye his first Grammy nomination at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards. It was nominated for Best Rap Solo Performance.
