Keke Palmer Files Restraining Order Against Darius Jackson
Keke Palmer has filed a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson. The Nope actress claims that he trespassed into her home, stole her phone, and struck her. According to legal documents obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday (Nov. 9), Palmer claims that the trespassing and phone stealing incident occurred on Nov. 5. The documents allege that it was not the first time that physical abuse occurred. The actress says it happened multiple times throughout their two-year relationship and sometimes in front of their eight-month-old son Leodis. She is seeking full custody of their son.
The documents claim that there were “many instances of physical violence” that included “destroying my personal property, including diaries and prescription eyeglasses, throwing my belongings into the street, throwing my car keys to prevent me from driving away, hitting [me] in front of our son, spewing profanities about me to our son, threatening to kill himself with a gun if I left him, harassment, and other physical and emotional abuse,” the documents state.
Palmer’s declaration claims that their relationship “finally ended for good” in October. It was “primarily due to the physical and emotional abuse inflicted” on her by him.
Keke Palmer Stars In Usher’s New Music Video For ‘Boyfriend’
Back in July, the couple sparked a huge debate on social media. Palmer attended Usher’s Vegas residency when the singer pulled the actress in for a sultry serenade, but her outfit got all the attention. Palmer’s boyfriend, Darius Jackson, tweeted, “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” in response to Keke’s black bodysuit under a long-sleeve sheer dress.
Jackson doubled down on his comment, writing, “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is.”
“This is my family & my representation,” he continued. “I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”
Palmer didn’t directly address his comments until she joined Usher in a music video for “Boyfriend” that mirrored the former couple’s situation.
