Nicki Minaj Launches Press On Nails & More
This is not the first expansion of Nicki’s brand this year. Last month, Nicki’s press-on nails launched March 15. The brand is dubbed Pink Friday Nails after her debut album. The nail collection offers several shapes, such as stiletto, coffin, square, and almond, as well as sizes short to XXL. The Queens native linked up with Yvett G, who is a celebrity nail artist who also serves as the creative director of Pink Friday Nails.
“I couldn’t spend as much time getting my nails done as when I only had to worry about me, so it became a necessity to create fly, quaility press-on nails,” said Minaj in a press statement. “Pink Friday Nails are the actual nails I wear designed by my actual nail tech. And I have very small nail beds, so normally, press-ons are way too big and don’t hit the same. Our nails come from short to the longest length I wear, in all shapes, all sizes and polishes.”
Last year, the rapper launched her Pink Friday 2 Eau de Parfum on the same day her album of the same name was released. The perfume was launched exclusively via JCPenney. It comes in two sizes: a 1.7-ounce bottle retailing at $42 and $22 for the 0.33-ounce travel bottle. The perfume has top notes of nectarine, pineapple, and solar blooms. At the center are orange flower petals, pink mimosa, and damask rose. Amber, tonka bean, and sexy musk are found at the base.
The scent is a sequel to her debut fragrance, Pink Friday, which launched in 2012 also alongside her album of the same name.
