Nipsey Hussle’s Sister Files For Guardianship Of Rapper’s Daughter
Nipsey Hussle’s younger sister wants custody of the rapper’s daughter.
The late “Victory Lap” rapper’s sister, Samantha Smith filed legal documents in Los Angeles County Superior Court asking for guardianship of Nipsey Hussle’s daughter Emani Asghedom, reports TMZ.
Smith believes that Asghedom’s biological mother is unable to care for the ten-year-old.
Prior to Nipsey Hussle’s death, the rapper took care of his daughter.
Smith said that she has helped with the care of her niece throughout her life and wants “to ensure the continued stability for Emani and ensure that she will be able to maintain her current and ongoing relationship with Nipsey’s family.”
Nipsey Hussle also had a son, Kross, 2, with his longtime girlfriend actress Lauren London, who lives with London. He is not the subject of the conservatorship.
A few days after Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot, Smith took to Instagram to share a tribute to her older brother and in the caption she wrote, “I got Emani.”
A judge has yet to rule on the petition.
Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot on Mar. 31 outside of his apparel store The Marathon Clothing in South LA.
