DaBaby Opens Up About Megan Thee Stallion Lyrics & DaniLeigh Incident
DaBaby made headlines last month after claiming that he slept with Megan Thee Stallion in the song “Boogeyman.”
“You play with me that s— was childish/The day before she said that Tory Lanez shot her, I was f—in on Megan Thee Stallion,” he rapped.
Now in a new interview, the North Carolina rapper is speaking about the lyrics from the track. “The song been done for real, for real. Damn near going on a year,” he said. “When I say something, it’s gon’ go out.”
As for the alleged relationship between the two, he has decided to not share any more details.
“It is what it is. I said a long time ago, keep me out the business. It’s a song. It’s out right now. N—– can take it how they want to take it.” Despite the backlash he received from the song, the rapper still opted not to change the lyrics. “I don’t change lyrics though. It don’t matter what I say.”
Megan seemingly addressed the lyrics in a performance shortly after the song was released, per HipHopDX . “So look, I don’t know about y’all but I love my body,” she said to a screaming crowd. “I do what I want to with my body, when I want to with my body, with who I want to with my body. ‘Cause it’s who? My body.”
In the same interview, DaBaby also addressed how his co-parenting relationship with DaniLeigh is going. The pair share a one-year-old daughter named Velour Leigh.
“My daughter is beautiful. Full of love, full of joy, full of laughs. Full of smiles. It’s all good. All is well,” the rapper said. He also touched on the viral bowling alley moment with DaniLeigh’s brother Brandon Bills. “That was a breath of fresh air for people on my end. I stand on certain morals and principles. If shawty would have been wise at the moment, she would have hollered at her brother.”
