50 Cent Doubles Down On Comment About Diddy’s Involvement In Tupac’s Murder
50 Cent is not backing down about his latest controversial comment. The “Candy Shop” rapper has been insinuated that Diddy had some involvement in the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur. “Damn so pac got lined by brother love. LOL Time to Lawyer up, s— might get sticky,” 50 tweeted Monday (Oct. 9). Diddy has referred to himself as “Brother Love” recently as he legally changed his name to “Love” from Sean.
Now, during a recent concert, 50 doubled down on his previous statement about Diddy’s alleged involvement.
“I hate when they leave me to talk because I always say the wrong thing,” he began. “Last time they left me, I said something about Puffy. You saw that clip? I gotta stop doing that kinda s—. I been talking to a therapist to try to help me with the s— I been saying.”
He continued: “It’s some crazy s— on my mind. Maybe I said that s— about Puffy because he got 2Pac killed.”

The investigation into Tupac’s murder has recently reopened. Duane “Keffe D” Davis was arrested for his alleged involvement with the 1996 shooting last month. Over the years, he has admitted to his involvement in the shooting. He published a memoir, Compton Street Legend, in 2019. In it, he stated he was in the car shooter’s car the night of Tupac’s murder. However, he never admitted to being the one who pulled the trigger. He claimed that his now-deceased nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, was the one who killed the rapper that night.
Shakur was killed on Sept. 7, 1996, in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. He was sitting inside a black car with Marion “Suge” Knight. Knight, at the time, was the CEO of Death Row Records. On the night of Sept. 7, 1996, police say the two stopped at a red light near the iconic Las Vegas Strip when a white Cadillac pulled up next to them, and gunfire erupted. The rapper was shot multiple times. He succumbed to his injuries a week later in a local hospital.
