Last night DJ G-Moniy, DJ Problem, and I had the pleasure of attending a private listening party for Jamla Records artists in Cary, North Carolina at Headliners Barbershop. The evening was curated by DJ Remedy and filled with DJs, artists, and Radio Personalities from across the state of North Carolina.
I got to vibe with Foxy 99 legends Emini the Iron Buttafly, Jane Dough, DJ Ruckus, along with Legendary Hip Hop Producers 9th Wonder and Khrysis. We listened to unreleased tracks from Heather Victoria, Musalini, and Ruben Vincent, Swank 252, and Mu.aath.
What really stood out to me was the humility of the Jamla Family. Despite the massive amount of talent flooding out of that camp each artist was so down to earth and genuine about their art. Keep scrolling to check out some of the Dope talent from Jamla records. I’ll start the list off with my favorite artist in the world: Rapsody. I always say if Maya Angelou had a love child with Jay Z, lyrically she’d be Rapsody.
