Kanye Claims LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault ‘Killed’ His ‘Best Friend’
Kanye West claims that the LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault “killed” his “best friend.” Ye is most likely referring to the death of fashion designer Virgil Abloh, and obviously metaphorically since Abloh died of cancer last year.
West claimed Arnault “KILLED MY BEST FRIEND” in an Instagram post that was accompanied by a photo of a statue of Virgil, an ancient Roman poet, seemingly referencing Abloh again.
“SPANK MY HAND WITH THE RULER(S) I’LL GO SIT IN THE ‘PRINCIPAL(S)’ OFFICE CAN’T WE TALK ABOUT MORE IMPORTANT THINGS LIKE HOW LATE THE SHOW WAS OR HOW BERNARD ARNAULT KILLED MY BEST FRIEND EVERYONE’S GOT A RIGHT TO AN OPINION RIGHT THERE’S MINE,” the rapper wrote underneath the photo of the statue.
Arnault’s LVMH owns fashion houses including Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Fendi, Christian Dior, and many more.
The rapper also posted “WHEN I SAID WAR I MEANT WAR” on a black background with white letters (but the post has since been taken down).
The Yeezy founder posted a screenshot of his “Virgil” post from Tremaine Emory. The caption from Mory called out Ye for using the late fashion designer’s name for clout.
“I gotta draw the line at you using Virgil’s death in your ‘ye’ is the victim campaign in front your sycophant peanut algorithm gallery,” the caption began.
“Your best friend Virgil, N—- PLEASE , this time last year you said Virgil’s designs are a disgrace to the black community infont of all your employees at yeezy -ASK LUCETTE HOLLAND…I GOT ALL THE “RECEIPTS” ( don’t let me get into the things you said about v after his death),”
he wrote.
“Ye tell the ppl why you didn’t get invited to Virgil’s actual funeral the one before the public one at the museum(and why you weren’t allowed to speak at the public funeral) . You knew Virgil had terminal cancer and you rode on him in group chats, at yeezy, interviews…YOU ARE SO BROKEN,” he continued.
Lastly, Emory stated, “KEEP VIRGIL NAME OUT YOUR MOUTH…KEEP @gabriellak_j NAME OUT YOUR MOUTH…Your not a victim your just an insecure narcissist that’s dying for validation from the fashion world…take care…at least we’ll always have ‘UGANDA.'”
After Emory’s post, Ye shared, “LETS REMEMBER SUPREME IS OWNED BY LVMH. IN WAR THEY WILL SEND YOUR OWN PEOPLE AT YOU. GOOD ONE BERNARD.”
He then captioned the post, “GOD IS LOVE.”
