Travis Scott Adds Extra Show in Raleigh; Trippie Redd Cancels Entire Tour
Things are looking really good for Travis Scott with his recently announced Utopia Tour, while the opposite is true for Trippie Redd.
Scott dropped his Utopia album recently, and then just announced an October 13 show at PNC Arena in Raleigh. That show sold out. Fast. So they went ahead and added another show on October 14 at PNC.
“Following sell-outs across all dates on his just announced 2023 UTOPIA – Circus Maximus Tour, Travis Scott has added 11 new dates due to incredible fan demand,” Live Nation said in a Tour release. “The tour will now include second shows in Dallas, Phoenix, Oakland, Miami, Brooklyn and more, making it his biggest tour to date. The 39-date tour includes two shows at PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC, on Friday, October 13 (sold out) AND Saturday, October 14, 2023 (newly added second show). The tour will also stop at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC, on October 11 (sold out).”
Travis has been back on the charts with that new album too.
“UTOPIA has been deemed the biggest hip-hop release of 2023, holding strong at No.1 on the Billboard Top 200 for four weeks running, and garnering over 1.5 billion streams globally. Additionally, Spotify named UTOPIA the most streamed album in its first week in 2023, and Apple Music confirmed the biggest first-day streams of an album in 2023.”
Meanwhile, Trippie Redd’s team announced that his tour has been canceled, without giving a reason why. He recently canceled his UK tour, including a festival appearance, because of “illness.”
