Tom Holland Confirms Spider-Man 4
When asked about Spider-Man 4, Tom Holland said, “The idea is crazy.” What does that even mean? We need more details!
In an interview with Good Morning America, Holland confirmed that Spider-Man 4 is happening (Yes, please. We need to move on from the tear-jerking end scenes of Spider-Man: No Way Home where everyone forgot about Peter Parker). He added, “It’s a little different to anything we’ve done before, but I think the fans are gonna really respond to it.”
Shooting for the fourth film will begin next summer.
What We Know So Far About Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4
Details about Spider-Man 4 are still limited since they haven’t started shooting yet. However, Tom Holland has been known to spill some Marvel secrets. Perhaps he’s outgrown this, having done three Spider-Man films, or maybe Marvel has upped the ante for keeping Holland in the dark.
However, as reported by Esquire, Holland revealed he and Zendaya had already read the script for the fourth film. “It really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down and read it together and we at times were bouncing around the living room, like this is a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.” As of now, Holland and Zendaya are the only actors set to reprise their roles in the fourth film, as reported by Screen Rant.
Another detail about the movie that’s been confirmed is its release date. Spider-Man 4 will be in theaters on July 17, 2026. That’s still far off from the future but hopefully, we’ll have more news about the film once shooting starts.
Tom Hardy’s Venom in Spider-Man 4?
Fans speculating about the possible plot for Spider-Man 4 have turned their attention to Tom Hardy’s post-credit scenes from Spider-Man: No Way Home possibly hinting at Holland’s Spider-Man’s likelihood of donning the black symbiote suit, like Tobey Maguire Spider-Man, sans the dancing.
However, since Hardy’s been clear that Venom: The Last Dance will be his last time playing the anti-hero and his no-fuss answers to not having received the script for Spider-Man 4, fans are still not sure if we’ll see Holland wear the black Spider-Man suit.
Nevertheless, we can still hope to see Spider-Man vs. Venom since according to Variety, Hardy said, “I would love to fight Spider-Man. I would love to fight him now. I’m happy to fight Spider-Man today, 100 percent. I would never say never.”
