Whether you're a seasoned festival-goer or getting ready for your very first music festival, there are some things you have to keep in mind to have an epic, hassle-free time:
🔎 Do some research: Get to know the festival's lineup, schedule, venue, and rules. It'll help you plan your festival days like a boss and avoid any unexpected surprises.
💰 Budget like a pro: Let's be real, festivals can be pricey. From tickets and accommodation to food, drinks, and merch, those expenses pile up quick. Set a budget upfront to stay on top of your spending game.
🎒 Pack smart: Packing for a festival is an art form. Don't forget must-haves like sunscreen, reusable water bottles, snacks, portable phone chargers, comfy shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing.
🚑 Stay safe: Take care of yourself and your stuff. Stay hydrated, be mindful of how much you drink, keep an eye on your belongings, and know where the first aid stations are, just in case.
🌍 Show some respect: Remember to be kind to the festival grounds and your fellow festival-goers. Clean up after yourself, recycle, and consider the experience of others. We're all in this together!
🎶 Plan your playlist: With tons of awesome artists performing at the same time, planning your setlist ahead of time can help you get the most out of your festival experience.
💃 Embrace every moment: Last but definitely not least, don't forget that music festivals are all about the experience. Let loose, enjoy the music, make new friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime!

Dreamville Festival
My personal favorite is Dreamville Festival, put together by the Ville's own J. Cole, is an annual event that celebrates his North Carolina roots. The lineup is consistently top tier with artists from rap, hip hop, and R&B, attracting a massive crowd of over 40,000. But what really makes this festival special is that it supports Cole's Dreamville Foundation and the Dix Park Conservancy. So not only do you get to have a beautiful experience, but you're also contributing to a great cause!
Coachella
On to the Holy Grail of American Festivals: Coachella. Basically Los Angeles vibes take over the Indio desert for 2 weekends weekends of music's A list performers. What's crazy is that Coachella began as a small electronic festival in the desert.
