Homes sold faster in Fayetteville in December than anywhere else in the country.

The housing market is a wild ride lately, but if you’re looking to sell here in Fayetteville, you aren’t likely to have to wait too long as homes here are selling faster than everywhere else in the country.

Special thanks to our friends at our sister station Power 98 in Charlotte for alerting us to this recent study from Suburbs101.com.

According to the study, in December the average time it took to sell a home was 44 days across the country. But in Fayetteville, that number was only 10(!!!) days!

There are actually three North Carolina cities in the Top 40 nationally, with Winston-Salem and Greensboro selling homes quickly as well.

“The real estate market is still going strong in Fayetteville, NC, Wichita, KS and Richmond, VA,” Suburbs101.com said in its story. “In December 2022, it only took an average of 10 days to sell a house in Fayetteville, 11 days to sell a house in Wichita, KS, and 17 days to sell a house in Richmond, VA.”

According to the RedFin data, 284 homes were sold in Fayetteville in December, with a median price of $195,000, and just 10 days on the market.

Let’s take a look at the other two North Carolina cities on the list, along with Fayetteville, and the rest of the national top 10 for homes selling faster than everywhere else in the country:
