Oh yes, it’s that time! This weekend WWE Fastlane emanates live from Indianapolis, with tons of amazing matches on the card. And although my previous attempts at a perfect prediction list fell through, I feel that the stars will finally align for me on Saturday!

As it stands right now, there’s only five matches confirmed for WWE Fastlane, which is pretty sparse for a premium live event. Although it does make more sense when you consider that their next big event, WWE Survivor Series, is one of their Big Four shows throughout the year. With that in mind it makes sense that the higher ups want their biggest stars to rest up and save their energy.

As sparse as the Fastlane match card may be in terms of quantity, the quality of the matches seem very promising! That match that has everyone buzzing is the tag team match between The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa), and LA Knight and John Cena. It’s been half a year since John Cena last stepped foot in a WWE ring, so fans are understandably eager to see him back in action. And him tagging with the universally beloved Megastar LA Knight is just icing on the cake!

Another tag match with no shortage of intrigue this weekend is the tag team championship match between The Judgment Day and the team of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. Main Event Jey has had a rocky start since jumping ship to the Raw brand. While the crowds are clearly happy to have him there, the same can’t really be said for some of his coworkers. Given Jey’s history as the right hand man to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, it makes sense why some would be wary of Jey’s arrival. But if Cody can forgive and forget, why can’t we?

Those are just a couple of the exciting matches you can expect this Saturday for WWE Fastlane! Now let’s run through all of my 100% guaranteed picks:

  • The Judgment Day (c) vs. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso - Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

My pick: Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso

What a wild twist in the story of Cody Rhodes it would be, to become tag team champs with one of the guys who prevented him from winning the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania. But, strange as it is, I think it’s gonna happen! And losing the tag belts will open up Mr. Money In the Bank Damian Priest for something else down the line. But more on that later…

  • LWO vs. Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits

My pick: Lashley and Street Profits

This match has the potential to be match of the night, with Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar’s high-flying acrobatics clashing against Bobby Lashley’s brute force strength. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are a potent mix of power and speed as well, which I think will prove too much for the Latino World Order to overcome.

  • Iyo Sky (c) vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair - Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women's Championship

    My pick: Iyo Sky

Not gonna lie, this is the toughest prediction for me. Part of me knows it’s usually foolish to bet against Charlotte when the Women’s Championship is on the line. However, with Asuka also involved in the match I think Iyo will be able to squeak out a victory to keep her championship.

  • John Cena and LA Knight vs. The Bloodline

My pick: Cena and LA Knight

Jimmy’s re-alliance with the Bloodline is still shaky at best, which I think will cost he and his brother Solo Sikoa the match. Expect John Cena and the Megastar LA Knight to pick up the victory here. YEAH!

  • Seth Rollins (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura - World Heavyweight Championship Last Man Standing Match

    My pick: Seth Rollins*

Shinsuke Nakamura has been a thorn in the side of Seth “Freakin” Rollins for months now, and it all comes to a head this Saturday. Expect a brutal fight between these two, with Last Man Standing rules allowing them to explore the depths of their animosity. But in the end I see Rollins retaining.

So why the asterisk, you ask? I have a sneaking suspicion that post-match Damian Priest will run out, cash in his Money In The Bank contract on a wounded and weakened Rollins, and finally bring his first world championship to the Judgment Day, a feat their leader Finn Balor could not accomplish previously.

Oh yeah, I’m swinging for the fences with this prediction. You heard it here first!
