Ryleigh Madison and Dontrell Briggs are both moving on in American Idol.

The American Idol journey is continuing for Whiteville native Ryleigh Madison and Maxton native Dontrell Briggs.

Madison, a 16-year-old high school student, got another television feature Monday night, as she got to work with country star Lauren Alaina.

Madison sang Patsy Cline’s “Crazy” on the Hollywood stage, and got to “fan girl” with Alaina for a few minutes on the episode.

Her performance during Genre Night was good enough that the judges have apparently moved her on to the next round.

“Well y’all, I made it through to the next round!!!! If you thought this round was intense, you won’t believe #Duets! Tune in next Sunday and Monday to @AmericanIdol to see who makes it out of #HollywoodWeek and into the #Top24! Wish me luck!!” she said on Facebook.

She managed to get some love on Twitter from judge and music legend, Lionel Richie.

“I only have two words @ryleighmadisonb … REALLY GREAT! #AmericanIdol,” Richie said on his post.

We don’t have us much information on Dontrell’s performance, as it wasn’t featured on air, but according to his Instagram and Facebook posts, he made it through too!

Congrats to both Ryleigh and Dontrell.
