XXXTentacion Now Owns The Streaming Record
XXXTentacion fans showed crazy support after his death.
Just one day after the rapper was murdered, his record titled SAD!, broke Spotify’s single-day streams record previously held by Taylor Swift.
Taylor Swift’s, Look What You Made Me Do, held the record at 10.1 million streams on August 25, 2017, but XXX’s track picked up 10.4 million streams.
It’s pretty ironic because a while back, Spotify announced that they were going to remove X’s music from its editorial content due to based on issues some artists go through with the law, but just a few weeks back they reversed the deed.
Spotify paid homage to the late rapper by creating a playlist titled, This Is XXXTentacion.
Since his death, XXX’s murderer has been arrested and is in custody. Hopefully, justice is served.
