Prior to the release of this cover, we saw previews of Brie in her role, but we had not seen the official suit, only green fighting gear. This is the first time we're able to fully materialize Larson as 'Captain Marvel' in our minds.
At the end of 'Infinity War,' we see Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) paging Captain Marvel, but the film we're going to see, I believe, takes place prior to any of this occurring (I believe it's supposed to be a 90's motif). It was also noted by The Mary Sue that Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) will return for this film (thank goodness - because we missed him something FIERCE).
The film is slated to release March 8, 2019.
