A White ‘Tupac Shakur’ Was Arrested For Meth Possession
Apparently, rapper Tupac Amaru Shakur isn’t the only one with that name. A white male by the name of Tupac A. Shakur in Tennessee was recently arrested after allegedly threatening police with a knife, as TMZ reports.
On Saturday night (Oct. 19), law enforcement responded to a call about the 40-year-old Shakur who had warrants out for his arrest, according to Johnson City Police.
When the cops attempted to detain Shakur he turned towards the officers with a knife in his hand, according to police.
After a brief struggle, Shakur was searched and the cops found a syringe and multiple bags of meth.
The Tennessee man who shares the name of the late iconic rapper and actor was booked on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple possession of meth, and unlawful drug paraphernalia.
Shakur is currently being held on $18,000 bond.
