Drake Wants Everyone To ‘Dance With’ Him To His New Single ‘Toosie Slide’
“Baby, don’t you wanna dance with me?” Drake sings on the hook of his new single “Toosie Slide,” that the Toronto rapper released on Thursday (Apr. 2). The video for the single, however, was released on Friday (Apr. 3).
In the video, Drake gives his fans a nostalgic feeling of MTV’s 2000s hit show Cribs. The visual for “Toosie Slide” is basically Drizzy giving a tour of his 35,000-square-foot Toronto abode that features large portraits of himself as well as music and cultural icons like Prince, 2pac, and Snoop Dogg.

While paying homage to the King of Pop, Drake has given his fans a new song to dance to while on quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Don’t you wanna dance with me? / I could dance like Michael Jackson / I could give you thug passion / It’s a ‘Thriller’ in the trap where we from,” Drake sings.
“It go right foot up, left foot, slide/left foot up, right foot, slide/Basically, I’m saying, either way, we bout to slide, aye/can’t let this one slide, aye/Toosie slide then I hit it double time.”
Drizzy also gives his fans a brief tutorial of how to do the “Toosie Slide” in his marble foyer. The visual has already garnered 1.5 million views on YouTube as of Friday morning. “Toosie Slide” is the follow up to Drake’s “When to Say When” and “Chicago Freestyle,” which the rapper dropped in February.
