2 Chainz Donates Meals to Health Care Workers
2 Chainz is one of the latest celebrities to give back to medical workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The rapper and his business partner, Mychel “Snoop” Dillard delivered hundreds of meals to healthcare workers in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia at Southern Regional Medical Center, as The Shade Room reports.
The meal delivery was made possible by the rapper’s restaurant, Escobar Restaurant and Tapas Lounge, which is co-owned by Dillard, as well as the Tru Foundation.“Escobar is an establishment that has always been about the people,” said Dillard. “When things affect our community, its only right that we contribute in any way possible — we are looking to do that with food for the healthcare workers of Southern Regional Medical Center.”
2 Chainz is known for giving back to the community. The rapper has previously paid a year’s worth of rent for disabled veterans, given to the homeless, provided lunch and toys for the youth, among other philanthropic efforts. Lizzo, Kevin Hart, Jay-Z, Rihanna, DJ Khaled, Miguel, Diddy, and various other celebrities have given back to assist the community during the coronavirus outbreak.
