Police Shut Down One of 2 Chainz's Restaurants After He Violates

One of 2 Chainz's restaurants recently got shut down by police for violating COVID-19 guidelines, as TMZ reports.

On Monday night (May 25), 2 Chainz's popular Georgia restaurant, Escobar Restaurant & Tapas, was ordered to shut its doors following a visit from the Georgia State Police.

Cops said that they drove by the restaurant and "noticed that the location was rather loud, busy, and occupied to be operating as a restaurant at that time of night," according to the police report.

Videos from that night at the restaurant were also shared on social media platforms such as Instagram, showing the packed establishment with people dancing, ordering hookah, and not practicing social distancing.

According to law enforcement, the police arrived and "spoke to the manager before shutting the location down as it was violating executive orders regarding protocol issued due to COVID-19."As we previously reported, 2 Chainz initially said that he would use his restaurants to feed the homeless and wait a while before bringing back his staff.

The Atlanta rapper has yet to comment on the incident. 2 Chainz's last post on social media was regarding the murder of George Floyd, which has gone viral on social media.

"I can't post the video. I can still see the killer with his hands in his pocket and knee on the neck of a handcuffed black man," 2 Chainz tweeted. "Rest in peace [George Floyd] and I hate him and all the cops that was there for it." The rapper shared the same message on Instagram as well.
