Ice Cube Tells Warner Brothers To ‘Free Friday’ And Let Him Make Sequels
Ice Cube recently took to social media to state that Warner Bros. studios has “refused” to make additional sequels to the Friday film franchise.
“#freefriday from the jaws of Warner Bros. who refuses to make more sequels,” he wrote, also posting a cartoon of the movie’s cast. “They have hi-jacked the happiness of the culture.”
Ice Cube wrote and starred in Friday back in 1995 with Chris Tucker. The movie took off and developed a cult following, which resulted in a handful of sequels, including Next Friday (2000) and Friday After Next (2002).
