Lil Nas X Gets Support For ‘Satan Shoes’ From The Church Of Satan

Though Lil Nas X might be in some legal hot water from Nike for his collaborative shoe with New York art collective, MSCHF, the Church of Satan has lent their support.

Per gossip web site TMZ, the magister for the Church of Satan, David Harris, told the outlet that the shoes, which feature a bronze pentagram, an inverted cross and a drop of actual human blood are getting a ton of love from the Church because they embrace the "essence of Satanism."

Harris says Satanists are loving the way Lil Nas X is turning against religion to market his customized Nike Air Max 97s. The cost for a pair of Satan Shoes went for $1,018, in reference to the Bible passage Luke 10:18 that reads: “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” MSCHF announced each shoe’s air bubble sole contains 60 cubic centimeters of red ink and “one drop” of human blood.

Satanists, by the way, do not actually worship Satan. Their name might be a bit of expert trolling; they just  don't believe in God or the Devil. They are "opposed to all spirituality and anything supernatural, and with no belief in the afterlife, Satanists emphasize being your true self, living life to the fullest and personal achievement." TMZ reports that Harris says that the Church believes that Lil Nas X has shown those values with his blood shoes, and that they applaud Lil Nas X for living life on his own terms and being his honest self.
