This third denial follows the rapper’s two previous attempts; the first in May when he was arrested, and the second in June. The reason Young Thug, born Jeffrey Williams, has been denied bond is because authorities are concerned that the rapper will flee or obstruct justice if let out.
Gunna, born Sergio Kitchens, who is signed to Young Slime Life (YSL) label has been charged with one count of RICO in the ongoing YSL case. Gunna has previously denied bond twice.
The two rappers are a part of a 56-count indictment spanning over 28 individuals involved in Young Thug’s YSL label which prosecutors have described as a “criminal street gang.”
Thug’s trial is scheduled to begin in January.
