While GloRilla and Yung Miami put in bids for the spot, Latto already put out a remix that was received well among fans with Cardi B. This was the first time Latto and Cardi collaborated. However, Cardi has worked with both Yung Miami and GloRilla in the past.
Yung Miami and Cardi worked on “Twerk” which was released in 2021.
Cardi B most recently worked with GloRilla for “Tomorrow 2,” a remix of GloRilla’s hit “Tomorrow.” The duo’s remix was released last year. Glo has an exciting weekend ahead of her as she is the most nominated female artist at the 2023 BET Awards.
Glo is nominated for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Best New Artist, Album of the Year for her debut LP Anyways, Life’s Great, Video of the Year for “Tomorrow 2” with Cardi B, and two nominations for Best Collaboration (“F.N.F. Let’s Go” and “Tomorrow 2”).
Other nominees include Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, SZA, and more. The show takes place Sunday, June 25, at 8 p.m. ET.
