Doja Cat Announces ‘The Scarlet Tour’

Doja Cat has released the dates for her upcoming The Scarlet Tour. The tour kicks off this fall on Oct. 31 in San Francisco, CA, at the Chase Center. It ends on Dec. 13 in Chicago, IL, at the United Center. Between those dates the Los Angeles native will hit big cities such as Las Vegas, Miami, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Boston, and one out-of-country show in Toronto on Dec. 11.

Doja will not be alone on this tour, as she brings rising rappers Doechii and Ice Spice along for the ride. It comes as no surprise that the tour is called The Scarlet Tour since Doja has been posting Scarlet-themed tweets.

On May 24, the “Kiss Me More” singer tweeted, “scarlet was here” with a blood drop emoji. On June 9, she tweeted, “scarlet’s watching” with the blood drop emoji making an appearance yet again. Last weekend, she wrote, “let myself heal, scar finally sealed,” signed, again, with the blood drop emoji.

This announcement follows the release of her latest song, “Attention” which will be the lead single to her album First of All.

  "Vegas" is from Baz Luhrmann's 'Elvis' biopic film soundtrack. Doja Cat wrote "Vegas" with Los Angeles writers and producers Yeti Beats and Rogét Chahayed. Chahayed previously worked with Doja on hits "Kiss Me More" and "Aint S---." The song interpolates Big Mama Thornton's version of "Hound Dog," which Elvis famously covered back in 1956.

She told MTV News how she came up with the catchy hook: "Sometimes, I can see my a-- from the front," she said. "So then I was like, if you can see it from the front, wait until you see it from the back. And then I thought that was the coolest thing in the world, the greatest hook ever."
