Cameron Antique Street Fair Coming This Weekend
The 2024 Cameron Antique Street Fair is set to kick off this weekend, May 3 and 4. This is the event for the antiques lovers in your life, with over 100 antique dealers on site. Which means, treasure galore!
Add that to the stunning setting of the Cameron Historic District, which is a national historical district located in Cameron.
The district encompasses 61 contributing buildings in the town of Cameron. It was developed between 1875 and 1925 and includes notable examples of Late Victorian and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. Notable buildings include the Cameron Presbyterian Church (c. 1879), Murdock McKeithen House (c. 1885), John C. Muse House (c. 1878), McLean House (c. 1920), McFadyen House (c. 1878), Rodwell House (c. 1890s), Muse Brothers Store (c. 1880s), McKeithen Store (c. 1880s), Greenwood Inn (c. 1874), Cameron Methodist Church (c. 1886), L. B. McKeithen House (1923), Borst House (c. 1883), Parker House (c. 1918), and Turner-McPerson House (c. 1867, 1910s).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

There will be some luscious food trucks onsite, from that good ol’ North Carolina BBQ, gourmet popcorn, to some amazing coffee which means definitely something for everyone!
And if the thrill of antiques and delicious food doesn’t grab you, how about a wrestling match? That’s right, this year’s Cameron Antique Street Fair is featuring a Tarheel Championship Wrestling event! The All for the Glory show is free, however, parking is $5. Be sure to bring a chair to get the best ringside seats in the house! That show is happening at 538 Carthage St. in Cameron with the start of the match at 1:30 pm on May 4th. Be sure to come out and support your North Carolina local powerhouse wrestlers.
