Chris Darden Withdraws As Attorney For Eric Holder In Nipsey Hussle’s Murder Case
Chris Darden will no longer be representing Eric Holder in Nipsey Hussle’s murder case.
The high profile attorney has filed a motion to withdraw as the defense attorney of Eric Holder, the man who allegedly fatally shot Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle, reports TMZ.
The withdrawal was filed on Friday (May 10) and Darden’s scheduled hearing in court on the same day marks the last time that the former O.J. Simpson prosecutor appeared in court regarding the highly publicized case.
Darden claims that he has received a myriad of death threats, including some that are aimed at the attorney’s family since he’s become involved with the murder case.
Some celebrities such as Meek Mill have also criticized Darden for taking on the case.

Last month, Darden’s daughter, Jenee Darden took to Instagram to respond to the backlash that she even received regarding her father taking on the case.
“Instead of attacking me and others who have nothing to do with this case, channel that energy into continuing Nipsey’s legacy in strengthening our community and uplifting each other,” she said in a now-deleted Instagram post.
In April, Darden appeared in court in Los Angeles and entered a not guilty plea on Holder’s behalf. Holder is charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, and a firearm possession charge.
Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot on Mar. 31, 2019 outside of his apparel store, Marathon Clothing in South LA.
