Yung Miami Of City Girls Shot At In Miami
Early Tuesday morning (August 6), Yung Miami of rap duo City Girls was shot at in Miami.
Yung Miami whose given name is Caresha Romeka Brownlee had 16 shots fired at her red Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV, reports Miami New Times.
The shooting took place as the pregnant rapper left Circle House Studios, a recording studio in North Miami-Dade County.
Fortunately, none of the 16 shots hit the 25-year-old rapper who has been holding her rap group down while her groupmate, JT is incarcerated.
“Whoever it was, they had their lights off,” Yung Miami said to police officers in a video first published by TMZ.
“I don’t know where they came from. No. They came from behind me, they shot, they started from behind me.”
The “Act Up” rapper told law enforcement that the first round hit the spare tire attached to the back of the rapper’s G-Wagon.
A myriad of social media users have noted that the shoot out transpired mere days following the publishing of a freestyle that included an attack and threat to Yung Miami, which was recorded in jail by Kodak Black, a South Florida rapper who is also an accused rapist.
In the freestyle, Kodak Black said that he wanted to “hit that b**ch in the stomach,” if he ever saw Yung Miami again. However, according to TMZ, there are currently no direct suspects linked to the shooting.
In June, Yung Miami announced that she was pregnant with her second child, but it’s unclear how far along the rapper is.
