Offset Votes For The First Time, Rapper Encourages Others To Do The Same
Offset is letting his voice be heard at the polls. On Tuesday (June 9), the Migos rapper voted for the first time ever during the primary elections in Atlanta, Georgia. The father of four posted a video to Instagram encouraging his fans to also vote and expressing how proud he was.
“I feel good, I feel proud,” the 28-year-old said while wearing a mask. “I’m tryna make a difference so I came out in my state, Georgia, Atlanta. Go vote, come hit the polls up.” “My First time ever voting because I wasn’t allowed!” he wrote in the caption of his video. ” I overcame this obstacle and decided to make a real difference !!!! Everybody, please go vote today (LAST DAY)!!!”
“I just voted, my the first time, 28 years old. I got past my record and my past history, and I’m able to vote,” Offset said. The rapper previously wasn’t able to vote due to convictions.

Offset isn’t the only rapper who hit the polls yesterday. Jeezy, another Atlanta resident also voted. He took to Instagram showing off his “I’m a Georgia Voter” sticker. “I know voting is not the end-all, be all. Be we must fight this battle on all fronts! We ain’t letting up! They want you to believe your vote doesn’t count,” Jeezy said. “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can,” Jeezy also said.
