Let It Snow? Fayetteville Region on Edge of Thursday Storm
Could snow be hitting the Sandhills region Wednesday night into Thursday morning? Well, it depends on where you live, and how much you want to cross your fingers and hope for a little luck.
The National Weather Service Raleigh has upped their guidance on snow coming down across central North Carolina, but so far has stopped from extending the winter weather advisory for our area. Areas north of Cumberland County have a higher chance of snow currently, as always seems to be the case.
1230 pm: Initial inspection of new model guidance suggests we will need to increase our forecast snow totals upward, especially across the northern part of central NC. Details still being resolved. #NCwx

Chick Jacobs, local weather guru, says for now we’re right on the edge of all that. And also as always, it’ll take a little luck for something to brew up in our area.
I tend to like the HRRR-RAP solution, which turns rain over to a mix, then snow early Thursday morning in our neck of the woods. Just a little slower (or further south) and our totals would jump. pic.twitter.com/lt7ohHIFyB
