Jada and Willow Smith Both Admit To Considering Getting BBL Surgery
In an upcoming episode of Red Table Talk Jada Pinkett Smith and Willow Smith are getting cheeky about a very popular procedure, a BBL.
A “BBL” is short for a Brazillian Butt Lift and according to the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, it is “a specialized fat transfer procedure that augments the size and shape of the buttocks without implants. Excess fat is removed from the hips, abdomen, lower back, or thighs with liposuction, and a portion of this fat is then strategically injected into the buttocks.”
The mother and daughter duo shared that they both have considered getting the procedure done and discuss their decisions on the show with their cohost mother and grandmother Adrienne Banfield-Norris.
“I’m glad we’re here talking about this today, the BBLs, because I was considering getting one,” Pinkett Smith tells Willow and mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris in the clip per PEOPLE.
“Me too!” Willow exclaims then explaining she decided to back out of getting the procedure done. “I considered getting the tiniest little bit, but then I just got into the gym and got it anyway.”
Jada recalls giving Willow some advice on how to “get a butt” is to work for it.
“I told her. I said, ‘You want a butt? One thing your mother know how to do is build a butt,’ ” jokes the actress. “And you built it to the point that people thought you got surgery,” she added.
“No, you’re right,” Willow agreed.
Adrienne chimed in discussing the impossible youthful beautiful standard to upkeep and her own personal pressures.
“I just feel like there’s always so much more pressure on woman to look a certain way,” Banfield-Norris said, as Pinkett Smith nods her head in agreement. “You know it’s all about youth, so for somebody like me, the struggle has been extremely real.”
