Naomi Campbell Birthed Her Newborn Daughter, She Wasn’t Adopted
Naomi Campbell was photographed for the first time with her 9-month-old daughter for the cover of British Vogue‘s March issue. The 51-year-old British supermodel opened up about her little girl and how she’s loving motherhood. Campbell announced back in May that she welcomed her first baby, sharing few details about her daughter at the time. As Campbell is notoriously private, she did not disclose any further details, such as her baby’s name or who the father is.
Discussing with British Vogue, Campbell said, “She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child,” adding that not many people knew she was going to become a mom at the time. “I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her. But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.” Campbell is saving the rest of the details — including her daughter’s name — for her book, which she has yet to begin.
Of motherhood, Campbell said, “it’s the biggest joy I could ever imagine. I’m lucky to have her and I know that.” The model said she feels like “a kid again” as she lives life through her little girl. “I’m reliving nursery rhymes, playing and discovering how many great new toys there are out there in the world! And dolls! Things I couldn’t even dream of.”
Naomi takes her 9-month-old everywhere she goes, and praises how great she is while traveling. “I’m lucky my little one loves to travel like me – no whimpering taking off or landing,” she said. “She’s a good girl: she sleeps very well, she hardly ever cries and I’m told she’s very alert for her age. She’s just started waving, which is fun. She laughs a lot. She’s almost talking. I think she might walk before she crawls. And she’s got six teeth already.”
