Young Thug Faces 7 New Felony Charges Outside RICO Case
Young Thug has been hit with seven new felony charges outside of the ongoing RICO case involving Gunna and several other YSL rappers.
After Wednesday’s (May 11) hearing, Thug (born Jeffery Lamar Williams), was denied bond.
He is now facing these additional felony charges per local news outlet 11Alive:
- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
- Violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act – possession of a Schedule III, IV or V Controlled Substance with intent to distribute
- Possession of firearm during commission of a felony
- Possession of sawed-off shotgun, sawed-off rifle, machine gun, dangerous weapon, or silencer
- Unlawful for person employed by/associated with criminal street gang to conduct/participate in criminal activity
- Unlawful for person employed by/associated with criminal street gang to conduct/participate in criminal activity
- Unlawful for person employed by/associated with criminal street gang to conduct/participate in criminal activity
These new charges follow his arrest on Monday (May 9) when prosecutors believe Thug participated in street gang activity and conspired to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.
Gunna (born Sergio Giavanni Kitchens) who is signed under Thug’s YSL label, reportedly turned himself in Wednesday (May 11). Gunna has been charged with one count of conspiring to violate RICO.
