Megan Thee Stallion To Appear On ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’
Megan Thee Stallion has entered the Marvel Universe. The Houston native has landed herself a role on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law starring Tatiana Maslany. Meg discussed her role in her cover story with The Cut. She noted that she looks up to rappers Queen Latifah and Ice-T who are successful in both music and acting. “When I look at them, it inspires me to take it further than just music,” she says. “I don’t feel like I’m only going to be an actress — I feel like I’m also going to be a director and I’m also going to be a producer.”
The rapper, who is new to acting, just got her breakout role in STARZ’s P-Valley season two where she appeared as her alter ego, Tina Snow. She revealed to the publication that she auditioned for the lead role of Mercedes. However, that role ended up going to Brandee Evans. “I was just coming up, and I read for Mercedes, but seeing Brandee play Mercedes, I’m like, obviously, I was not here yet. She’s so perfect for that role.”
Megan’s role in She-Hulk has not yet been disclosed but you will see the rapper on screen soon enough in her film debut of A24’s musical comedy F—ing Identical Twins.
She-Hulk follows the story of Jennifer Walters, cousin of Bruce (the Hulk) Banner (played by Mark Ruffalo). The cousins get into a car accident — caused by a spaceship from the planet Sakaar. (This makes sense if you saw Thor: Ragnarok). Bruce’s blood got into a cut that Jennifer suffered in the crash, giving her Hulk powers. Unlike her cousin, she’s pretty much able to control her Hulk self rather quickly. It took Banner over a decade to learn to control his Hulk.
