Redman Has A Message For People Who Like To Stunt For The ‘Gram
Well, in a matter of speaking anyway.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, Redman has some choice words about how people flaunt their money and what it says about a person.
They quote when Redman spoke with Hip Hop Motivation on the subject:
“If I do an investment, I want to do it something that’s big, that’s about that grandchildren money. That “my grandchildren can by straight” kind of money. Not that “buying the Benz and jewelry” kind of money. N*ggas that show money, ain’t got no money. They ain’t really got no mothaf**kin’ money. Only mothaf**ka that could do that is Floyd Mayweather,” he said.
This is big talk coming from a rap artist, especially when everyone is so used to seeing rappers flaunt their wealth. But the bottom line that he came to terms with is the people who are showing their money probably don’t have any, or are “working toward” that. He also shares some insight to investments and importance of making sure that they work their angles properly, and mentions that people who are making money aren’t going to share their secrets with you on how they got rich.
Either way, his bottom line is that if you gotta flaunt it, you probably “don’t got it.” This can apply in daily life – most of the time, when you’ve got people gloating about their “riches” or what they’re going to have/have, chances are they’re either lacking something, or trying to make people envious of their situation when they really don’t have the foundation it takes to build that situation.
